Know the Difference

Flying ants and termites are often mistaken for each other. While similar in size, they have several notable differences: 

Flying Ant Pinched waist Long legs Elbowed antennae Two pairs of wings, rear wings smaller than front Wings have few well-defined veins	Swarming Termite Broad waist Short legs Straight antennae Two pairs of wings the same size and shape More and finer veins in wings create a lace-like appearance
